Anok Yai
Anok Yai is the super model of a generation. One of the most prominent faces in the world, she has fronted many magazines, campaigns and causes, known for her directional taste, artistry and advocacy.
Her meteoric rise in fashion began with a historic debut as the face of Prada, just a week into her modelling career. This achievement made her the first South Sudanese woman and only the second Black model, after Naomi Campbell, to open a Prada runway show. Since then, Yai has been featured on more than 14 international Vogue covers and has endorsed luxury brands in advertising for Saint Laurent, Versace, Fendi, Chanel, Givenchy, Max Mara, Burberry, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, H&M, and countless others.
Born in Egypt and raised in New Hampshire after her family sought refuge in the U.S., Yai is a powerful voice in conversations about expanding beauty standards and the importance of inspirational figures in media and entertainment. Alongside her modelling career, Anok is deeply invested in acting, art, and music, and is committed to developing advocacy initiatives for young women.
She has been nominated for Model of the Year at the 2024 Fashion Awards, taking place in London in December, and is about to embark upon her busiest period during September’s fashion month.
